The Apache is much the same as it always is: dimly lit, with the jukebox playing in the background, and the bartender serving whatever's on tap. Above the doorway and wound through a few of the sets of antlers some enterprising soul has placed a garland decorated with little blue and green fish.

Who: Tommy and Kate
What: Having coffee and making fun of each others' accents and maybe some mantears idk
Where: A coffeeshop near Kate's house -- lady's choice
When: After this post
Warnings: None yet

Tommy speeds over to Kate's and he's knocking on the door before he even finishes sending her a reply over the CiD. He pushest his goggles up on his forehead when he comes to a stop. It spikes his bangs up into a mess, but in his opinion he looks good any time, so he's not embarrassed at all about it. Instead, he waves when the door opens, and grins maybe a little wider than usual, to cover the fact that his mood isn't exactly the best. It'll even out when he distracts himself with Kate's company.

"Yo. What's goin' on?"
[identity profile] billycanfix.livejournal.com
Who: Tommy Shepherd, Billy Kaplan and possibly other members of the household after
What: Tommy being an idiot, Billy being a different kind of idiot and then both of them being idiots together.
Where: Their house
When: Let's say Friday afternoon
Warnings: Tommy and Billy's idiocy will eventually involve a lot of blood, although no one will be getting injured (it's magically delicious)

When he'd figured out the problem with the blood supply and crurovores going hungry, Tommy registered two things. One, people were willing to pay for blood. Two, he wanted some emergency money and he had blood. Even better, he was a speedster, so he had more blood than normal, right? With that thought in mind, it didn't take long for him to zip through the city and scout out all the places where he could get money for his 'donations' and to collect a sizable amount of cash.

So Tommy was feeling pretty satisfied when he stepped through the door of the house. Well, at least, he was feeling light on his feet. Or maybe he was just light-headed? Maybe he shouldn't have stopped at that last clinic...

He managed to figure out exactly what was going on when he tried going up the stairs to his room. Halfway up, his vision went white. Instinct pushed him into flopping forward instead of tumbling back down the stairs, but even with the adrenaline rush in him, he realized that finishing the stairs just wasn't going to happen.

"Craaaaap."

Tommy let his head rest on the cool step and closed his eyes, sighing. This was so uncool.

It's Shundi afternoon, and Raven is out in the city. Along with her plans to meet Kate at the coffeeshop called Queequag's (it's always a good idea to scope a place out before you go and apply for a job there) and drop by the University to register for a couple of classes, she figures some window shopping is in order. Until she has a steady income there won't be any shopping bags going home with her, but a girl can look. Maybe try a few things on, check out what's available for decorating her room once Charles has a house picked out, things like that. Fun stuff, and a chance to get away from the Inn for a while.

[OOC: I'm going to set up some threads for encountering Raven at various locations, please wait to tag until I'm finished. Finished and open!]

Who: TOMMY SPEEDSTER MCBUTTFACE & JOHN ASSHOLE PYROBRO
What: a public opinion poll for the Samizdat newspaper
Where: Aspic bazaar
When: mid-morning to afternoon w/e
Notes: jerks (or if you really want your character to give their opinion to John, you can tag in!)
Warnings: jerks

If this is some kind of hazing ritual, John supposes it could be worse. It's only to be expected that the poorly paid new hire is the one who has to make the coffee and fetch lunch and conduct word on the street type surveys. Fine. He can deal with that. Aspic's bazaar is busy as fuck and no one really wants to talk to a scrubby dude with a clipboard, but he's managed to wrangle a few opinions out of people. So far, in a revolutionary turn of events, most everyone is against people dying. He's not exactly a journalist major but he's pretty sure the guys back at Samizdat would prefer reading something a bit less diplomatic. Maybe not something really inflammatory. It's just going to be a bar graph to accompany an article or whatever.

"Hi, I'm with Samizdat, what's your —" That's generally about as far as he gets with most people, who just want to get their shopping done. The rest of it is supposed to be "— opinion on the vampire sitaution?"

Who: Kate Bishop Hawkeye and whoever wants to join in.
What: Night patrol, keeping the streets free of violence and people becoming dinner.
Where: Abrogate Green
When: Midnight between Misdi and Coardi
Notes: Come run into her. She is here to halp if you need it and chat if you don't. And perhaps run into fellow superheroes? Also, if you are not familiar with her in her hero role, pretend the costume actually hides her identity?

Abrogate Green. Not one of the high class towns of Baedal, but it's not the lesser desirable sections either. For now, though, it's a familiar area to the young woman who's taking a seat on a random rooftop in the middle of the night. She's dressed in purple spandex from head to toe, accessorized with a pair of sunglasses, a white scarf, and a bow and arrow set that's honestly hard to miss no matter how dark it is.

Suddenly, she jumps to her feet, pulling the string of the bow taut at the same time. She freezes and aims towards her lower left, slowly taking in the shadowy movement that caught her attention. Just a coyote digging in the trash. Nothing to get worked up over. Except... that coyote morphs into a human being--or something that looks like one--and ambles off out of the alleyway. All Kate can do is pull her arms back into a relaxed position and shake her head, not even shocked at werecoyotes and shapeshifters.

Baedal makes Kate feel at home with things like this.

Who: Remy & Tommy.
What: Awkwardness.
Where: House of TBA (it's like House of M, but with less horror!)
When: Presently.
Notes: Knowing is half the battle.
Warnings: None/TBD.

In between bouts of cheerful networking and the things he does under cover of (sometimes literal, sometimes metaphorical) darkness, Remy has a whole host of miscellaneous activities - some he's gotten used to living with Wanda out there in the nexus, others he's only ever had passing experience with. Things that can be skewed as 'domesticity' have always been elusive for him, or colored with a very unique shade. Yes, he's worked at a school - but he taught field combat, primarily, and when he subbed in phys ed they played neuron laser tag. He's rebuilt homes, mansions, redone plumbing, but only ever with the help of people who could move whole walls at a whim.

So it's weird, but in a nice way, to sit outside in the garden and smoke cigarettes and watch chicken slowly change color on the grill. Remy's always been mindful to only smoke outdoors, and the chicken was going to go bad soon, and it's warm enough out for it, and he's got a couple of beers, and... it's really, painfully mundane, and sometimes he wishes he could turn the nervous readiness that exists like a subtextual hum in the back of his head off. Sometimes he wonders if people do this sort of thing and no worry about, hell, Sentinels, at the same time. Must be interesting.

When: Late Misdi night, and however many hours/days afterward.
Notes: me so angy
Warnings: None at this time.

Shunted from her purpose by a living whirlwind, the prototype jet spins and spins, her extremities breaking apart, the wind skinning her and flinging her pieces into the sea. The little bodies inside her rolling, white-knuckled, dreading the inevitable crash. Erik is affixed to the steel hull by means of his gift, and through his palms and his knees and his skull he feels every vibration, every groan and shriek of rent metal, and through his chest he feels the resonance of his friend howling in terror beneath him. He will be safe, held there, or they will all of them die together, screaming.

Erik collides with something hard, then— )
