Who: Tommy and Kate
What: Having coffee and making fun of each others' accents and maybe some mantears idk
Where: A coffeeshop near Kate's house -- lady's choice
When: After this post
Warnings: None yet
Tommy speeds over to Kate's and he's knocking on the door before he even finishes sending her a reply over the CiD. He pushest his goggles up on his forehead when he comes to a stop. It spikes his bangs up into a mess, but in his opinion he looks good any time, so he's not embarrassed at all about it. Instead, he waves when the door opens, and grins maybe a little wider than usual, to cover the fact that his mood isn't exactly the best. It'll even out when he distracts himself with Kate's company.
"Yo. What's goin' on?"

"Yo. What's goin' on?"

When she opens the door, it's only a crack large enough for Tommy to push it the rest of the way. Kate's not being rude; she's actually showing her comfort where she no longer considers him a guest.
"Nothing really," she mumbles, tossing the hammer she's holding onto a pile of wood and screws. "Give me a minute to change and we can leave."

"You are really nosy. I didn't invite you over to poke through my stuff."

Grabbing her jacket from a hook near the front door, Kate shrugs it on and nods to Tommy. "Come on before I start noticing things are missing."

Honestly, his faith in his brother's ability to fix anything with magic is a little worrying, but Billy hasn't let him down yet. Well, not really.
"Yeah yeah, let's do it, Little Miss Bossy."
It's not like he would have looked, anyway. He's a teenage boy, not a perv. Oh wait, the two are sort of one and the same.
Uh.
Anyway.
"So where d'you wanna go? Somewhere close by or somewhere I have to speed us to?"
no subject
"Then there are actual sit down restaurants." A pricier option, but she has the money for it. For the both of them.
no subject
Tommy doesn't have a cash problem, mostly because he has light fingers (stealing is wrong, but if criminals have cash in their pockets, well...) but he doesn't really like sit down restaurants when he's feeling this way. They never have enough exits and he ends up feeling claustrophobic.
"Which way do we go?"

Down the block and a sharp right gets them to the pizza place that's relatively empty for this time of day. No dinner rush yet and it's after lunch, so the midday crowds have gone back to work or whatever activity makes up their day. Kate pulls the door open, holding it wide for Tommy to step through first.
Screw gender roles.
no subject
"Huh. Looks like an ... okay place?"
He's never been to this restaurant before, so he stands just inside the doorway, waiting for Kate to give him his cue on what he should do to get his food. Better to do that than accidentally piss off the chef-dude-person and get his drink spit in.

"Yeah, it's... okay. It's no Grimaldi's but what can we do?" She steps up to the counter and starts ordering a large pie, half pepperoni and sausage and half plain cheese with extra sauce on the whole thing. "You want anything else?"
You know, teen boy, like another whole pizza for yourself or garlic knots or an entire soda?
no subject
"Nah, it's cool. The pepperoni and sausage part is mine, right?"
Because goddamnit, pizza isn't pizza without meat.
no subject
Look, as long as it has bread, sauce, and cheese, it's pizza. Meat is just an add-on.

Your bum is super fine, Kate.

Moron.
no subject
He collapses to the ground, twitching dramatically. "The light! It's dimming!"
Yup. The biggest moron.

So she says as she steps right over him to get a table. He can stay eat his slice right there if he wants to, Kate doesn't care. She likes to eat like a human being with manners sometimes.
no subject
A quick shake gets most of the dirt off of him when he stands up, and then he's strolling over to the table
in slowtimeat a normal pace, pouting."Soooo much suck. Suck to the five millionth degree."
no subject
She means in the general, still hanging out with her, trolling her, flirting with her, still on the team, so on and so forth, way. Though, for her effort, she hasn't exactly sent him away either.
no subject
On one hand, he probably should stop. On the other hand, it's just so fun to let loose and snark at someone without worrying that he's going to get attacked or make Mom mad or something. Kate's comfortable in a way that no one else is, except for maybe Billy.
no subject
She's right. There's Claire and Raven and... There's Claire and Raven and that's all that matters right now. But admittedly, which she would never do, Kate would miss Tommy if he wasn't around. He keeps the team on their toes and sometimes, they need somebody to be the class clown.
"Besides, I'd find something else to do over hanging out with people. No big deal."
no subject
He grins and maybe invades her personal space a bit more, trying to wheedle an admission of affection out of her.
no subject
"You're here because I offered food and I feel like being nice to jerks." And just like that, she shoves him away. Gently. Lovingly. Maybe.
no subject
Then he sneaks back in and gives her a one-armed side hug. "I'm glad you're here, y'know?"
no subject
"Me too. Only you being here, I mean," she replies, poking him in the ribs. This little family's all some of them got. Kate knows when to appreciate them even if they annoy her sometimes.
