St Kelley's is one of the more sedate occasions in Baedal, at least as holidays go. It passes more or less unnoticed by the majority of the population as many of them feel it doesn't concern them. It's not their holiday; it's for the others. Those with severed ties and broken hearts. The temple and church preach that it's a time for reflection or for glorifying the generosity of the gods. It's one of the few days on which no one looks askance at first generation Citizens mourning their missing loved ones publicly.
As night rolls around and floating lanterns are set to sea, the Apache in Mog Hill prepares to accept guests from the newer cohorts. It's something that happens every year, making it a practical tradition. The alcohol will be cheaper for first timers, and the music will be kept at a reasonable level.

"Hi, stranger," she calls in her light, playful drawl, "you look good."
She flashes a smile McCoy's way, too, as a greeting.

Both his hands close around hers, holding on for just a moment longer than propriety tends to dictate; he even keeps her hand between his as he raises them to gesture at his companion. "I'm glad you came over, I can finally introduce the two of you."
He drops her hand, glancing from her to McCoy and back again. "Hasi, I'd like you to meet Dr. Leonard McCoy, my close personal friend and the Chief Medical Officer aboard the Enterprise. Bones, this is Ms. Hasibe Ozcelik, also my close personal friend, and a performer-in-residence at the Vault."
There is the decided air, in the smile and darting glance between the pair that follow, that he very much hopes they'll like each other.

This is, of course, not surprising. Jim has always had a knack for attracting beautiful women, so of course even in some freaky goddamned pocket dimension he'd find the hottest girl on the block and make friends with her. He nods politely to her, offers his hand to her - he intends to kiss it, but if she wants to shake, that's fine too.
"A pleasure to meet you, Ms. Ozcelik. I've heard nothing but good things about you."

"The pleasure's all mine, Dr. McCoy. I'm very glad we finally got to meet--and please feel free to call me Hasi." She remembers the conversation she had with Jim about people going home and coming back, now, and she can't help but wonder, but she's not about to let a second of that show in her expression. "You two don't mind if I stick around over here for a little while? This bar's a madhouse, and I could use the good company."
no subject
"Not that Bones isn't good company all on his own, but we could always use more," he says, glancing at McCoy for confirmation--not that he expects anything else, Bones isn't going to send a lady packing. "Please, stay."
