It's like paradise, spread out with a butter knife :: [OPEN]

Who: EVERYONE
What: Réjean has decided that more people ought to celebrate and help raise a bit of dosh for one of his favourite bars. See: flyer.
Where: The Apache.
When: Misdi night and into the wee hours of the morning.
Warnings: Discussion of Pickman's manky feet.

The Apache is much the same as it always is: dimly lit, with the jukebox playing in the background, and the bartender serving whatever's on tap. Tonight, the bar is packed with people from all across the city, different cantons and cohorts, all out to celebrate surviving the fungal plague. Patrons are encouraged to buy tickets for a door prize with the proceeds going to repair the damage tunnelling ants made to the cellar.

"I can't say no to that offer." He opens both palms, one toward the bar and the other toward the jukebox. "Do you have a preference as which gets our magnificent presence first? Ladies' choice, of course."

Looking thoughtful for just a moment, Tosh grins, the expression a little bit mischievous. "I suppose that depends on what kind of music you're going to make me dance to. Could be I might need the courage."

"I wouldn't make you do anything." His tone is casual, but it's something Charles feels very strongly about. His power could easily strip people of control and he hates taking away someone's right of choice. "In fact, I don't know any of these songs so whatever I picked would be at complete random."

He laughs. "I think we might both need that courage."

"You'd have a fight on your hands if you tried," Tosh retorts, but it's teasing because she doesn't get that kind of vibe from him (and she has no idea that there'd be no chance of a fight at all). "I probably don't recognize most of them myself, it's not the kind of music I normally listen to."

She laughs as well, and tilts her head toward the bar. "Drink first, then random song choice after?"

"Brilliant," he agrees. Though he doesn't have the money for a drink, what he does have is manners and he offers the crook of his elbow with a playful grin.

"Will you allow me to escort you to the bar?"
