It's like paradise, spread out with a butter knife :: [OPEN]

Who: EVERYONE
What: Réjean has decided that more people ought to celebrate and help raise a bit of dosh for one of his favourite bars. See: flyer.
Where: The Apache.
When: Misdi night and into the wee hours of the morning.
Warnings: Discussion of Pickman's manky feet.

The Apache is much the same as it always is: dimly lit, with the jukebox playing in the background, and the bartender serving whatever's on tap. Tonight, the bar is packed with people from all across the city, different cantons and cohorts, all out to celebrate surviving the fungal plague. Patrons are encouraged to buy tickets for a door prize with the proceeds going to repair the damage tunnelling ants made to the cellar.

Hellboy holds up his water glass. "Thanks, but I'm set." As Pickman presumably hoofs it, Hellboy chuckles and shakes his head, mildly incredulous that this part of his life could come to this.

"Oh, good. I recommend calling ahead and making an appointment rather than just dropping in. The security's a little hardcore. You'd probably want to talk to Princess Nuala, and she may or may not bring Sir Integra in, depending on how they're doing things." His own experience with the Personnel process was a bit... abbreviated, given his odd semi-connections to each of them.

"I'd been planning that before the ants." She'd also planned to ask around to see what other people thought of Hellsing. They might be perfectly nice, reasonable people that she'd be happy to do a little work for, but then again, they might not. "You like working there?"

He smiles. "Yeah. I used to work for a similar outfit back home. Hellsing's a bit... more British," -- by which he means stuffier -- "but we've got a good mix of folks who get along well, and even without the occasional disaster like this, the work is stuff that needs doing." After a moment, he adds, "Besides, paranormal investigation's the only real job skill I've got. Don't know what else I'd do for a living."

"You sure can't be a crossing guard. The little orange vest'd clash something fierce." Njoki, that is not helping at all. "But I'm glad that they're big on investigating."

Even without getting into the fact that she shifts, Njoki is a little concerned about how Hellsing would take the fact that she is openly practising magic that some people might not look favourably upon.

"It would, but then again, I've got a heck of a STOP sign right here." He holds up the Right Hand to illustrate.

After a moment for a quick sip from his water glass, Hellboy nods. "Oh, yeah, the investigation's an important part of things. I mean, I've been around, I can imagine what the organization gone wrong could look like. We make sure to only get involved when whoever -- or, sometimes, whatever -- is hurting others, or needs help getting by without hurting others."

If nothing else, Hellboy's own appearance should point to how flexible Hellsing is in tolerating unusual people, as long as they're friendly.
