It's like paradise, spread out with a butter knife :: [OPEN]
Who: EVERYONE
What: Réjean has decided that more people ought to celebrate and help raise a bit of dosh for one of his favourite bars. See: flyer.
Where: The Apache.
When: Misdi night and into the wee hours of the morning.
Warnings: Discussion of Pickman's manky feet.
The Apache is much the same as it always is: dimly lit, with the jukebox playing in the background, and the bartender serving whatever's on tap. Tonight, the bar is packed with people from all across the city, different cantons and cohorts, all out to celebrate surviving the fungal plague. Patrons are encouraged to buy tickets for a door prize with the proceeds going to repair the damage tunnelling ants made to the cellar.

Shit.
Not that she could get close to the bar if she wanted to now. The place was tightly packed, leaving her with one of two options: finding an unoccupied seat or a familiar face. Whichever Rochelle ran into first.

"Hello, you came!" Yes. Yes, that's self-evident, what with the fact she is here, in front of you, Ilde. Good job. Stop drinking.

"Sure did, and it looks like you started without me," she responds, nodding toward the drink in the other woman's hand.

Having decided at some point that tonight is going to be a good night, Ilde is doing her level best to enforce this executive decision.

There's a smiling redhead more or less at Rochelle's elbow--it can't be helped, it's packed in here. She offers a hand. "I'm Rachel. From earlier? Man, I love your jacket. I'm glad you could make it!"

Rachel looks around, too, nodding. "It's crazy in here tonight. This can't all be our cohort, there's gotta be other ones here too. Feels like the whole city turned out for this party."

It's not that she's difficult to notice (5'9" with extremely long flame-red hair, she is not made to blend), in general, but she's good at timing things, and thus she manages to time things just so that when the bartender's back is turned...she climbs up on the bar. And snags a couple of bottles of dark beer, which is where her tastes are, currently; the hard stuff can wait. Two are all she can manage, though, and she leaves a few marks on the bar behind her when she hops back down to the floor, her acrobatic feat of self-serve bartending to complete.
She has no idea who Rochelle is, mind you. But she's in a good mood, and feeling successful, so, waving the matching cold bottles at the other woman: "Hey, you want one of these?"
It's a party, and everybody deserves a drink. Ruby's just...assisting the staff in ensuring as much.
