The Apache is much the same as it always is: dimly lit, with the jukebox playing in the background, and the bartender serving whatever's on tap. Above the doorway and wound through a few of the sets of antlers some enterprising soul has placed a garland decorated with little blue and green fish.

He does come back to himself quickly enough, and he even caught her question. "It's called It's a Wonderful Life," he murmurs. Traditional Christmas film with Jimmy Stewart."

"I don't believe we've met, have we?" she adds, after a distracted moment. "I'm Jones; you are...?"

Once done, he offers a handshake, his smile shading towards apologetic. "I've been here almost two months, but I'm still getting used to the idea of magic being so public. It isn't where I come from."

She tilts her head slightly, her expression momentarily unreadable before her smile returns. "I suppose this is a time of year for remembering home. Whereabouts are you from?"

"Originally or before coming here?" he asks, mirroring her head-tilt. "Originally would be a small village in Connemara, Ireland, and most recently would be Santa Barbara, California." He pauses a moment. "On a planet called Earth, on the off chance you're not from there. And you?"
