St Kelley's is one of the more sedate occasions in Baedal, at least as holidays go. It passes more or less unnoticed by the majority of the population as many of them feel it doesn't concern them. It's not their holiday; it's for the others. Those with severed ties and broken hearts. The temple and church preach that it's a time for reflection or for glorifying the generosity of the gods. It's one of the few days on which no one looks askance at first generation Citizens mourning their missing loved ones publicly.
As night rolls around and floating lanterns are set to sea, the Apache in Mog Hill prepares to accept guests from the newer cohorts. It's something that happens every year, making it a practical tradition. The alcohol will be cheaper for first timers, and the music will be kept at a reasonable level.

"I met someone from my future, once." He smiles again, one eye on the street as they start nearing the party, one eye on Steph. "Back home, I mean, not here in the city. He was... I don't know how to explain it, really. I guess the best explanation is he was the future version of someone I had just met in the present. He came back in time due to an accident and he wound up changing our timeline. But in his timeline, he and I had been lifelong friends. Weird, huh? And I mean, lifelong, he had a good century and a half on me."
Jim shrugs. "He couldn't lay out my whole future for me. But he was able to tell me enough, especially about our friendship, to inspire me. Maybe there's a way for you to do that, too."

"Really weird," she agrees, after carefully listening to his explanation. She can't imagine that, having someone who's known you your whole life. Time travel isn't a completely new concept to her, but it's always people from like, the 31st century, and they never say too much about their history.
"Maybe. I've already changed a lot, just by talking to her. Hopefully it can't hurt to give away a little more." There's a bit of a lightbulb moment for her then, because she just remember that she can tell Babs to save Cass from Deathstroke. It's one of the best thoughts she's ever had.
