Where: The Apache and surrounding environs.
When: Sukkardi the 14th of Haneden
Notes:Warnings: None yet. Please put warnings up on individual threads.
- Swap Meet Spreadsheet: Pre-chosen swaps are green. Assigned are blue. There were a few characters that were selected more than once, so objects were assigned on a first-come first-serve basis. If you have any issues or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact the mod team.
- For objects that might not be immediately apparent as belonging to their owners, there may be a picture or name attached, or players are welcome to have their characters ~just know~ it's for them. Drr drr drr, bb.
- Party post nights are a great time to come join the chatroom.
- The topic threads are just suggestions; if you've got somewhere else that your characters simply must be, make your own thread.
The Apache is much the same as it always is: dimly lit, with the jukebox playing in the background, and the bartender serving whatever's on tap.

No one cares about your Kate Bush theories, Ivan.

"You're a fan?" In his opinion, this conversation just got about a million times better.

Fish jumps a little, suddenly, as though an idea has just smacked him on the ass; it prompts him to reach into his shoulder bag, to begin pulling out...something. Some mysterious thing small enough to fit into his shoulder bag. It has a handle, anyway, of dull metal. "Hey, can I show you something?"

(And he was indeed wearing the same eyepatch during their group visit to that horrid play, so its presence shouldn't come as any surprise.)
He doesn't say anything just now, merely tugs the object free, unbuttons the suede leather sleeve and slips it off. What's underneath is a mirror, its back facing outward at first, a small symbol engraved on the plate. When he turns it around—looking expectant, maybe a little excited—so the mirrored surface faces Ivan, his reflection should appear. Whether or not this is a surprise will depend on the particulars of his own vampirism, of course, of which Fish has no idea...but he's hoping there'll be some sort of reaction beyond so what.

He hasn't seen his own face in almost 200 years.

Fish allows the mirror to exchange hands, feeling reluctant about it, but willing to trust—or, well, hoping—that the old man won't suddenly flip out and smash it or steal it or something equally unfortunate. He could say something, but...he's not sure what wouldn't sound lame, so holds his tongue for now.

Finally, he hands it back. "A bit unnerving, almost." But intriguing all the same.

...Right, talking.
"How long's it been?" A lady never tells, but neither do ladies tend to have beards, so.

He's affixing the snaps of the mirror sleeve as he says this; soon enough, it's being tucked away again, more or less safe in his canvas messenger bag. No one's going to suspect he has such a valuable object hidden in that thing, or so he assumes, since it's obviously secondhand.

"Was the mirror from home?"
no subject
"Nope. I dunno where it's from, but it's definitely mine. I just had one of those feelings, you know? Before I even knew what it was. Some guy had it, I had to ask him for it. I'm pretty sure he thinks I'm a weirdo now, I couldn't stop making faces at myself." He pauses to take another drag (finally) from his cigarette. "I feel kinda spoiled now, though, since it hasn't been like a hundred years or anything since I saw my face. I can actually... if I set up this thing with a mirror and a camera, I actually show up on film, it's just a pain in the ass since the tech here is so hit-and-miss. Unless you're, like, loaded."
