The Apache is much the same as it always is: dimly lit, with the jukebox playing in the background, and the bartender serving whatever's on tap.

Logan picks up the whiskey, a slight tip of a thanking gesture, but he slides half of it down his gullet, ice clicking against his teeth. "People have a tendency to be jerks over the network," he states, bluntly. It's not a whine, however, and he is being more than a little wry when he adds, "Strange thing is they knock it off in person.

"That a brand new gift or something you left behind?" You know, if it's not too personal to ask. They may be beyond this stage.

She grins- apparently mainly for the purpose of showing off her teeth- and props her chin on her hand. An up and down look- look at you, aren't you scary- and her smile gets even more wicked. "Funny, that."

She straightens up quickly, crossing her legs and suddenly playing mock prim. "Brand new, but it was on my wishlist before..." That look is almost coy. "Oh, you know. Disruptions."

She sounds almost amused by that.

...Despite the fact that she's talking about nearly bringing a country to its knees and then fleeing for her life.

He's very scary, ma'am. Except there's no growl or urge to prove it; just a raised eyebrow over the top of his drink. Mostly, Logan is watching her, because she isn't the kind of person he finds himself talking to a whole lot, with her fancy accent and her affected demeanour. (One can say he is just as performative, in his own way, but-- Logan wouldn't.)

"Little thing like dimension hopping tends to ruin Christmas," he says. Then adds, "Charles Xavier says hi."

She believes he's scary- she's just not scared. Her eyebrows go right up, a look of intense amusement coming over her as he delivers the message; "Oh? Really. I'm glad to hear I jump to mind on sight of sparkly sex toys. You could put that in a Valentine's card, I'm nearly sure."

...Or he used his powers, but when Irene has no idea what Logan knows it seems safer to err on the side of caution- both to ensure that she doesn't frighten Charles off by outing him, as it were, against his will, and to look after her own safety. Information is a dangerous thing to possess, at times.
