The Apache is much the same as it always is: dimly lit, with the jukebox playing in the background, and the bartender serving whatever's on tap.

"To be fair, I've had that problem since before I got here, but not usually like this." Fortunately, he doesn't need a whole lot of sleep. He shakes his head as if to dismiss the matter.

Hellboy's careful to keep his handshake dialed back to firm. When Wolfgang stands up, there's something about him that seems familiar, but it takes a couple of moments to place the gangling white-haired young man from one of the leaked Militia raid videos. The spark of recognition is noticeable in the slight widening of his eyes for a moment, and then he nods.

"Nice to meet you, Wolfgang," he says, his voice a bit quieter and with a note of sympathy.

Wolfgang is never quite sure how to interpret looks like that; it's not unusual for people to look at him visibly Concerned and comment that perhaps he'd like to sit down, but his reputation varies depending on the person and the canton they're in. He tends to be quiet among this cohort's network, but there are a couple things he can think of that people might recognise him from.

Neither are terribly flattering.

Maybe he just looks tired. He makes an effort to keep his expression friendly instead.

"It's nice to meet you as well. It's Hellboy, yes?" Pause... He purses his lips. "Ah, you have a bit of a distinctive face."

And the quiet ones are usually creeping on the network anyway.

Only belatedly does Hellboy realize that he might be treading a bit close to something Wolfgang might prefer left alone. His attempt to dial it back is helped by the laugh Wolfgang's comment inspires.

"I suppose I do, at that. Yeah, I'm Hellboy." He shakes his head. "My reputation precedes me again. You get your thing yet?"

"Not yet. I --" He stops and changes what he was about to say. "I wasn't going to come, but..." Gesturing at the room in general -- and how packed it is rapidly getting -- he shrugs, sheepish. "I guess everyone else was a little curious too."

He's not sure whether to hope for something practical -- so that he can use it -- or something sentimental but useless so he won't have to feel guilty for not keeping it. A gun would actually be fantastic, on the former point. Apparently everyone else in Baedal gets one, jeez.

He nods, understanding that mix of dread and intrigue. "Well, I hope you get something good. Meanwhile," He shows the dagger in his huge stone hand. "I feel like the gods are pranking me."

Only now does Hellboy realize that, safe carrying practices or no, he's effectively been brandishing a knife this entire time. There's a long moment where he shifty-eyes back and forth, looking to see if anyone in the room is freaking out in his direction -- thankfully, everyone's all busy with their own discussions -- and then he shoves the dagger into his coat pocket with the utmost attempt at casualness.
