"And if people haven't behaved well?" It's an idle question; she's new to Baedal, mistrustful but still unsure of the rules.

"I guess that's true." After a moment, she realizes she hasn't given her name. "...sorry, I'm Lieutenant Valerii. Former lieutenant, I guess, there's not much of a fleet here. Still."

“Still,” Sol concedes, not without understanding; these people, himself included, carry their context with them. It doesn't stop mattering because it isn't here, and maybe it's almost more important when they have to carry it mostly by themselves. “Sol's fine,” he adds, after a moment. “Solomon Koenig.”
