The Apache is much the same as it always is: dimly lit, with the jukebox playing in the background, and the bartender serving whatever's on tap.

"I dunno... I mean, maybe? I've never seen it before." Tracking the object's little movements as he talks. He's looking up to Sol's face a moment later, smiling, closed-lipped, a little mousy overall. What Fish himself can sense about people, he takes from the way they smell—and the strength of their heartbeats, when he tries—and if Sol exudes anything more he is unaware of it.

"Can I see it?"

Fish smells mostly like cigarettes, for the record, and his heart only just keeps his blood from settling.

The most interesting thing about the way Sol smells is a lingering hint of roses, under the clean leather smell of the jacket he's wearing. He turns the mirror in his hand, flipping it around without dropping it, and offers it to Fish by the handle of the thing.

If he weren't sticking with his 'just a lawyer' shtick he might mention that something extra he'd noticed about it; as is, he's just waiting to see if Fish can indicate what it is.

That is interesting, and were Fish any deeper in his cups he might comment on it. He isn't, though, and thank goodness for that, because who really needs to be told they smell good by random guys?

Before taking the handle, he hesitates a moment, as though concerned it might be hot—but no, of course it isn't, there's nothing wrong with it at all, and in short time he's pulling the protective sleeve from the plate with great care. It appears face down, and while Hamilton does not recognize the engraved symbol personally, that it happens to be a fish must be more than a coincidence; his delight is quiet, but plain.

And when he turns the mirror over, and sees his own face, he nearly drops it.

"Oh, no way."

You would be surprised what sort of things Sol has had people say to him apropos of very little. --then again, maybe not.

Right now, he is appreciating (genuinely!) this briefly mind-blowing experience--

“Don't tell me you left home with the wrong face.”

...sass: enjoy it.

He does enjoy it, don't you worry about that.

"Uh, no, I just— this is blowing my mind a little, it's so great..." Should he gush about it? Does anyone really need to know the specifics of his metaphysical quirks? Does this guy even care? Fish is not even considering these questions, actually, just staring at his reflection, trying not to grin too big and for the most part succeeding. He flashes his tongue, blurts out a laugh.

...Right, he should probably reengage Solomon, ever, which he does, now looking about a hundred times more bright-eyed than before. He's not tearing up, but close to it. "Sorry, it's been a long time since I could do this without having to, um, rig up a thing with cameras."
