What: Intro, meet and greet, general shenanigans.

After his short chat with Anna, Réjean had his assistant set-up a time for Rosa to come down to Mafaton to be properly introduced and acknowledged. If the whole neighbourhood is subdued, brightened only by the occasional splash of red paint visible on doorways, Undercity itself is even quieter. The Royal Quarters (and Réjean's office) can be found on beyond the moat, through the Apothecarium, and down a twisting hallway.

As is traditional, he makes her wait twenty minutes beyond her scheduled appointment time before summoning her into his office.

"Done. The Council usually slumbers and even when they wake, they don't come out in public," he says with a tone hinting that he's grown used to repeating that stock phrase. "It's shit timing, but none of us can choose our own fate, hein? Well, no one of our calibre can chose."

"You might want a copy of this." 'This (http://multiversal.livejournal.com/21726.html#cutid1)' being a helpful pamphlet that Réjean authored and got published. "And, presumably your friends have told you that if you break the laws -- which are flexible and generous in comparison to what we would know from home -- if you break them, you'd best hope Hellsing finds you first or you'll make the local news. Did you see the heads outside? I've been told that there was a slip-up in preparation and they didn't properly bind their consciousness into the skulls and now no one can tell if they've moved on or are just trapped in their own rotting flesh. Oh well, there's always next time?"

"I see." Rosa takes the pamphlet, eyeing it oddly. Despite how short it is, at least it has actual information on it, unlike the bizarre propaganda leaflet she had received in the arrival house. "Thank you, this seems... well, both shorter and rather more helpful than the other one I got.

"Regarding the laws of Baedal, outside of the obvious ones -- no killing, no thievery, and so on -- is there anything unusual I should know about?" She hesitates for a moment. "Also, is there anything I can do for you, the Council, or the city as a whole?"
