This world, where much is to be done and little to be known.
Who: Réjean and Rosa
What: Intro, meet and greet, general shenanigans.
Where: Réjean's office in the Undercity
When: Coardi night.
Warnings: Language!
After his short chat with Anna, Réjean had his assistant set-up a time for Rosa to come down to Mafaton to be properly introduced and acknowledged. If the whole neighbourhood is subdued, brightened only by the occasional splash of red paint visible on doorways, Undercity itself is even quieter. The Royal Quarters (and Réjean's office) can be found on beyond the moat, through the Apothecarium, and down a twisting hallway.
As is traditional, he makes her wait twenty minutes beyond her scheduled appointment time before summoning her into his office.

Rising, she quashes the emotion firmly. From her (admittedly shoddy, and she really needs to fix that) understanding of the situation, she needs to make a good impression -- or at least, not a bad impression -- and being as calm as possible certainly can't hurt her. Smoothing the wrinkles out of her clothes, she takes a deep breath, then enters the room.
She stops just inside the door, her eyebrows raising just a fraction. Well, then. She has to tamp down on the instinctive urge to flee -- the man is clearly powerful.
"Réjean Sept-Heure? My name is Rosa Martelli. Thank you for seeing me," she says. As she does so, she reaches out gently with her extra senses; he feels like a vampire, but she wants to be absolutely sure. Besides, she wants to know whether or not Réjean can sense all disciplines, or merely the messy ones.

He's of average height, wearing a good but worn in suit, and looking a little drawn -- it looks as if he's still eating, but he has also been rationing himself. If she's able to read upside down, his desk is covered in a collection of notes, reports, and updates on the state of the blood supply in Baedal.

Rosa crosses to the chair and sits, her eyes flicking to his pen. It could conceivably be a coincidence, but Rosa doubts it. Under the circumstances, she decides it's probably a better idea to forgo trying anything else. That being said, she really wishes she could get a closer look at the watch. Or the pen. Or... any number of things on the desk, really. She glances over the desk, skimming the titles of the papers. I wouldn't mind fifteen minutes alone in here, she thinks.
Inspecting the... Seneschal? Inspecting the Seneschal's desk isn't the point of this visit. The point is not getting beheaded, set on fire, staked and then left in the sun (and then set on fire), or otherwise terminating her unlife.
"I can see you're busy; I won't take much of your time. I arrived quite recently in the city, and I'd like to avoid any unnecessary complications. Would it be possible for me to be acknowledged by the leaders of the vampires?"

"You might want a copy of this." 'This (http://multiversal.livejournal.com/21726.html#cutid1)' being a helpful pamphlet that Réjean authored and got published. "And, presumably your friends have told you that if you break the laws -- which are flexible and generous in comparison to what we would know from home -- if you break them, you'd best hope Hellsing finds you first or you'll make the local news. Did you see the heads outside? I've been told that there was a slip-up in preparation and they didn't properly bind their consciousness into the skulls and now no one can tell if they've moved on or are just trapped in their own rotting flesh. Oh well, there's always next time?"

"Regarding the laws of Baedal, outside of the obvious ones -- no killing, no thievery, and so on -- is there anything unusual I should know about?" She hesitates for a moment. "Also, is there anything I can do for you, the Council, or the city as a whole?"
