my life is trapped in these lines, that's why i'm packing these nines
Who: Princess Nuala, Integra Hellsing, and everyone who's made an appointment for a job interview at Hellsing.
What: Job interviews.
Where: Hellsing Guild Hall, Sobek Croix.
When: Various times after this post.
Notes: If your character has an interview just start a new thread! You may get Integra, you may get Nuala, you may get both. If you have a preference, say so in your subject line or harass one of us, we are easy to find.
Warnings: Bureaucracy?
In the midst of rising tension in the city, Hellsing is busier than usual. New blood (ha, hah) is always welcome, but especially so these days. The guild hall is perhaps oddly quiet, though it's only because most agents are out on cases. Those with appointments will be seen promptly.

"You're not going to believe me if I tell you. But I imagine you'd insist."
She leaned back in her chair.
"I believe my humanity was restored because of true love. Both my husband and I were kindred. I can't really explain what happened, but after some dangerous encounters with the Fae, we kissed, and that's when the two of us started breathing again. Since then, I've felt the need to eat human food, sleep and breathe. If you have any leads on what might have happened, I'm actually very interested myself."

Which is why Integra is quiet for a while, observing her, like perhaps she's trying to decide whether or not Brie is bullshitting right now. She imagines, briefly, Alucard being cured of vampirism via true love's kiss, and if she was the sort of woman to do so, she might have to choke back a completely black-humored laugh. Fortunately for all involved she is not, and thus remains impassive.
"That's certainly something that we could look into." Miracle of miracles, she is not looking at Brie like she thinks she's insane. (...A little, maybe. It's hard to tell.) "I've certainly never heard of the phenomenon before. What aspects of vampirism do you retain?"

She was going to avoid telling Integra that she hadn't tested whether her Celerity still worked or not. She was confident that it would, but also confident that overuse of the ability as a mortal will cause her to die immediately.
Brie sat up straighter in her chair.
"I can only imagine that I have lost some aspect of the immortality that vampirism brought me. But to whether I will live longer than a normal mortal life, well, I don't know."
no subject
"That is," she continues after a beat, pulling out some more file folders, "If you're still interested. I can show you sample case files; you'll be working with mortals who are human, as well as other species - my chief secretary is from a non-terrestrial planet, our tactical leader is a vampire, and then the Princess, of course, though there are others. Is that a problem for you?"
no subject
"And no, I have no problem with working with a member of another species unless for some reason they give me one. I'm assuming that if I have problems with other personnel, I would report my concerns to ... "
no subject
"Princess Nuala," she supplies. "As of yet we've had zero trouble with any non-human member, so I don't particularly predict anything." The only trouble they've ever had was from a human, actually, and he is no longer an employee.
no subject
"Sounds excellent. Do you have any more questions for me?"

"We're certainly on the same page then. Thank you for the opportunity."
