» what do you do with the left over you?
Who: Kiden and YOU. This is an open log for any and everybody.
What: Teens with idle hands are the devil's playthings.
Where: All around Baedal
Warnings:Kiden's mouth.
For someone who is young both in body and mind, it shouldn't be this hard for Kiden to find something to do with herself these days. But with a lack of Laura by her side and her new found partner-in-crime Tommy probably causing mayhem without her, Kiden's left to stroll up and down the city blocks looking for trouble to get into. Let her tell it, trouble just follows her, but it doesn't help that she invites it closer to her with open arms.
She could get a job. Granted, she could use the pocket change, but really... last time she had a job she did it because she had rent to chip in for. Here in Baedal, she just freeloads off Remy and Wanda for the moment. They keep offering her food and a place to stay; she isn't ready to tell them no.

He does remember her, though. "You're the girl from the network. The one who knew I was Charles Xavier. I don't mean to interrupt or anything," he says, holding his hands up in a sort of surrender. This is a perfectly normal meeting, yes.

"Yeah," she replies, seemingly unimpressed as she lets go of the paper and watches it flutter down back onto the pile she took it from. "I know who you are." But she still isn't feeling like explaining herself.

Which manifests itself by him casually sliding his hands into his jacket pockets and trying to look as nonchalent as possible, because he knows that's not the requisite approach here. "Sorry. I think I mentioned before that there weren't very many mutants in my world, so when I sense one, well. I get curious. I didn't mean to interrupt."

"Oh..." Kiden starts, still watching him suspiciously. "Well then." And she stoops down again to start digging through the trash again, expecting that he'll be gone when she decides it's time to search the other cans. He'll be gone for reals, right? Right?

"You don't live out here. ...do you?" He hasn't delved too deeply into her mind to find out about Laura, Remy or Wanda. Kiden wouldn't be the first homeless xenian girl he's become acquainted with in this city and he's not overly fond of the trend.

Little does anybody know that she's been secretly preparing for that moment Remy and Wanda tell her to leave. Somewhere in Baedal, there's an abandoned flophouse that contains little bits of Kiden's material life, set up for her to live amongst them.

Which leaves him in a strange predicament. She has the basic essentials to live and she's eighteen. It's none of his concern what she does, but he can't help but feel, well. A little responsible? Like he does for everyone, but especially so for mutants.

She is definitely suspicious, so much so that she peers over the garbage can at him, eyes narrowed. It could be a strong guess. She looks a lot cleaner (outside of the current trash situation) and healthier than she did when she first arrived. Anybody could figure out she actually has a place to stay now. But still, Kiden is naturally wary of adults, even adults that were mentioned in school on those days she didn't bother paying one bit of attention to what they could do.
"What do you want?"
no subject
"Nothing. I'm sorry to have disturbed you. I wanted to make sure you were all right and --" he makes a little gesture with one hand. "You're fine." In a certain sense of the word. "So I'll be off."
He steps back a couple of paces and gives a little nod, saying, "I'll no doubt see you around." So unless Kiden stops him, he'll turn to go.
no subject
"Hey, old guy." Rude, Kiden, rude. "What can you do?"
no subject
Two fingers reach to his temple and he replies, "Take a look, kid." The dumpster around Kiden appears to have suddenly transformed into a ball pit. He has an interesting sense of humour at times.
no subject
"How'd you do that?"
