About midday, a call goes out on the Hellsing filter from Dean, setting this thing up.

By mid-afternoon, with help, there are a couple of grills going, crabs on the boil, tables lined up in the grass behind the guild hall. There's meat, there's shellfish, there's vegetables and side dishes. There's even some wine and beer.

Hello, Hellsing. Come meet and greet your fellow operatives.

"I'm doing very well, thank you." Velcro tilts his head and examines Sol and Liesl -- perhaps he is assessing them for either pettings, fetch, or snacks. It's also possible that he's deciding if he needs to be overwhelmingly adorable to get Liesl's attention and thereby free Sebastian from his attempt at making polite conversation.

Liesl is totally content to peer down at Velcro with the great interest of a child who has at some point informed Alucard he is really super because she loves his dog. (Sol doesn't get it, either, though Liesl enjoys every dog at least conceptually.) She's not getting down, though, and Sebastian can in turn enjoy the fact that she's holding fistfuls of her father's hair like reins. For balance.

"Good company will do that," Sol says, easy, turning his head slightly in a half-assed effort to free some of his hair. It fails.

There's a flash where Sebastian unexpectedly and rather fiercely misses Luna. While she might've had a tendency to say the oddest things, she was always the best sort of back-up for social gatherings. He likes to think that if she were here, she'd start to talk about giraffe's horns and how Sol ought to have a pair for improved steering.

"I'm not all that busy this week, just the usual never-ending sort of repairs, but I'd like your advice on a few things, if you've the time?"
