It's during the beginning of a new cohort that Akalamdug finds himself working longest hours. While that means he ends up spending a little more time away from his kids than he'd like, it's worth it to help newcomers settle in to a job and thereby ease some of their worries about how they'll adjust to Baedal.

With the kettle on and a plate of biscuits at the ready, Akal opens the door to his office in the Valhalla Inn.

Mina was grateful that the offices were open late. After all, she couldn't very well climb the stairs of the inn during noontime when the sun was streaming in through all the windows. God, that was definitely the most inconvenient thing about being a vampire. She could handle the feeding situation well enough (that's what Dominate was for) but the sunlight...that she really missed.

She made her way into the office, dressed sharp in her pin-striped suit, fedora hiding her hair. She had no idea how well respected a lady doctor might be in this world, so she was prepared for all contingencies. She just really didn't want to have to Dominate anyone.

Jysiri is eager to visit the office, but he is frustrated, again, with not having anything else to wear. Going to dinner in his robes is annoying enough. Going to talk about business like this is worse, but he'll have to make it work, or he won't be able to make money, and then he'll be wearing his robes sitting on a street corner somewhere.

He doesn't really let on that he's uncomfortable. He looks very calm, and mildly happy, when he enters the office. His smile picks up when he sees the person inside is also not human. It's bizarre to be in minority, like this.
