OPEN | Woodland Song

Who: Faramir and OPEN
What: Rangers Gonna Range
Where: The woods of Sobek Croix
When: the first days after his arrival
Notes: none so far
Warnings: He's out hunting, so, uh. Try not to look like a rabbit? :D

It is not that he is mistrustful because that is not his nature and if Boromir decided to pledge loyalty to Hellsing his heart would never allow him to doubt their integrity. Still, it is not in him to stay within the organization's walls for long, not until he has a better understanding of this place and not until he has sorted through all his thoughts and doubts and confusion. Until he can be at peace with the idea that there might be a reason for him to be here.

He mostly camps out, exploring and wandering the ranges of Sobek Croix' woods, hunting, thinking. Accepting to be here is hard. Coming to terms with the idea that he failed is hard. Not being with his Rangers any longer is hard, too, and should they not be here with him as they set out for Osgiliath together? Because that is what he assumes to be his fate. Faramir, too, must have fallen in battle. That it shall not be for him to know what is to be of Gondor and Middle Earth is probably the hardest of all. He can only try to imagine how that very feeling must have been like for his brother upon his arrival.

He is studying his CiD as well, still careful, respectful, watching the news and conversations unfold before his eyes while he sits by a small campfire in the evening, wondering how any of this is possible, getting edgier with each passing day, hungry for information. Clockwork and lightning. How does it all work? Once he is more accustomed, more at ease with his device he will set out and ask for libraries, schools, places of lore and knowledge.

For now he will keep roaming the district, collecting berries and mushrooms and testing out the new arrows made from Croix wood.

hold your burning hands up, the emblems of eternal youth

Who: Only Velcro is owning up to his real name in this one.
What: A visit to the mob doctor.
Where: The backroom at a dodgy apothecary.
When: Newdi evening.
Warnings: Exposure may cause or contribute to: itchy rashes, full body hair loss, projectile vomiting, gigantic eyeball, the condition known as 'hot dog fingers,' children born with the head of a golden retriever, seeing the dead, bone liquification, possession by the Prince of Darkness, tail growth, elderly pregnancy, and back pain.

A city as diverse as Baedal provides a glut of strange medical practitioners and without much to base his opinions on, Sebastian is forced to scan the local papers, trade on word of mouth, and spend a fair portion of his spare time calling on various practices. Once he'd put out a quiet word at work, the staff at Hellsing have been quite helpful in suggesting magically-inclined doctors, healers, shamans, and a few truly alien specialists that left him confused but pleased by the thought of progress. Admittedly, there had been a good deal more walking and interviewing than actual headway, but a little CONSTANT VIGILANCE caution when describing his condition was the prudent course of action.

One consultation led to another, which lead to contacting a small apothecary that was known for poor bedside manner and efficiently dealing with odd problems. After sending off a brief description of himself and his problem, Sebastian consoled himself that no matter how suspect the apothecary, he had the luxury of time and choice -- no more stitches by veterinarians or hasty and ill-brewed healing by untrained students. Still, as he reads a book in 'waiting room', there's a touch of same atmosphere and he's not sure if it's worrying or comforting.

When: ~Today.
Notes: Wildly making shit up Worldbuilding.
Warnings: TBA, don't really expect any though.

It's been less than a week since he's found work, and only a meager few days since his new co-workers have discovered his affinity for devices and materials beyond the ken of Baedal's technology. Familiarity with these things are common - especially in the newly chosen - but proficiency to his degree is rare, and even rarer to find in someone looking for work in the engineering field. So it's no surprise that one of the first assignments he's given is to go into a highly secure facility and dig through looking for ultra-rare materials. He actually knows what they are, who cares who he is or where he's from.

i'll miss you and i don't wish you bad well i forgive you )
