003 | OPEN. red lipstick on the end of a cigarette.

Who: Hasibe Ozcelik, and OPEN.
What: A show premieres at The Vault.
Where: The Vault.
When: Evening til the wee hours of the morning.
Notes: I will set up sections in the comments for people to hang out.
Warnings: WELL IT'S AN ADULT CLUB, SO.

The show starts at nine o'clock, and the bar is full pretty quickly thereafter, but the variety in the club is pretty striking. Xenians in their best suits, non-Xenians in leather and ripped fishnets, everything in between. There doesn't seem to be a lot of cultural divide here between human and not, even given recent issues. Hasibe makes good on her promise to have members of her cohort given seating preference, as she's sweet-talked the cocktail dress-clad hostesses, and the bartenders (in their vague approximations of suits with very open shirts) are aware that she's invited a lot of heavy drinkers. ...she just assumes people in her cohort want to drink--they've been kidnapped to a strange city with many new things to offer, so why wouldn't they?

"Makes sense. There's probably a clearer sign that psychics can pick up on." Njoki chuffs, still curious, but aware that this place isn't for her she makes to move on down the hallway.

"I think I saw you on the cohort network. You're pretty new here, yeah?"

He returns the paper to its place and tucks his hands behind his back, following after her for lack of any more specific agenda at that moment. "Yes, I recall you responding to my initial broadcast." Rhade couldn't possibly sound more out of place for this setting if he tried. Even if he otherwise seemed perfectly comfortable.

Njoki nods. She had been pretty sure this was the same man, but she didn't want to guess based solely on the fact that he looked more or less like she remembered and had some sort of spikes on his arms.

Somewhere nearby there's a couple of vampires and it causes her attention to briefly wander. "You settling in well?"

He is ever so slightly avoiding looking at the full vampires. It's not their fault, really. They can't help it. His experiences with sentient eating beings had, until his arrival, not been particularly enjoyable.

His interactions with a particular Magog monk had eased that animosity somewhat. They appear to be in full control of themselves, and he can admire that of their instincts. "I have been. I'm still looking for a place of residence but I've been adapting." You need to adapt to survive, after all.

It's less that there are people who eat people, than that she tends to be drawn to the (un)dead.

"If you need it, I've got space." Njoki's business has been doing well enough that she hasn't had to move and with the recent fall in housing prices in Mafaton, it's a good place to live. As terrible as Pickman could be, she misses the sound of his clip-clopping hooves on the floorboards.

"A room at least?" Rhade's necessary space isn't a lot. Considering he has no family or crew at the moment. He supposes if by some miracle one of his wives should show up (or Beka) he could work his way around it.

Not that Beka would want to live with him.

Perhaps he should keep that off his mind.

"Mmhmm. Room, bed, four walls attached to each other." It's an odd and perhaps overly familiar or trusting thing to offer someone she's only spoken to once, but it does her no harm to suggest it. "Couple of drawbacks: it's in Mafaton, which some people don't like, and I work weird hours, often from home."
