It is completely a mindfuck, and though they've all had their share of them - hell, Remy's had to kill his own alternate - this is something that will ever be just beyond the edges of his innate understanding. Blood loyalty means little to someone abandoned at birth. He tries, though, because it's important to Wanda, and Wanda is important to him. (Remy has always chosen his own family.)
