For the sake of safety and common sense Sebastian has been relatively quiet on the network, preferring to communicate via voice or text only, but that hasn't stopped him from making a few general appointments for others in his cohort and throughout the city. Most of his work for strangers has been in and around Sobek Croix, doing his part to keep Hellsing in the canton's good graces during the current blood shortage. At the guildhall itself, he's been working on getting the building ready for winter -- finishing windows, checking the roof for leaks (again), and making sure there will be enough room to dry their crop of tobacco.

"You're welcome to pet him, if you'd like." Sebastian makes a gesture to Velcro to signal that it's okay for him to go visit and get some attention. Meanwhile, he'll get back to work, taking measurements, checking window frames, and whatever else needs doing.

Well, this is just like Christmas to Maggie. She sets aside the tube of cream and reaches out again with her good hand to give Velcro a damn good scratching of the ears. Her mother's not here to yell at her so she can get her own dog, right? Or maybe a cat. No, she should wait until she gets a paycheck past the first few. Or until she has some savings. Pay her bills and don't by anything she doesn't actually need like an animal.

Oh, how Marisol still has her daughter right under her thumb and she's not even in the same universe.

"How old is he?" Clearly she is more interested in getting to know the dog than the owner.

"Almost five." Velcro wags his tail, snuffles about, but remains a bit reserved. There's no doubt that he likes the attention, but he's too well-trained to jump about. "He was in training to be an airport dog before he got a bad knock and I ended up with him."

At least one of them is well-trained to sit still. The longer Velcro takes the attention, the more Maggie gets into it. She moves from one floppy ear to another, and then down to under his chin. No other dog will be so well petted as this one after she's done.

"Lucky." It's unclear whether she's talking about the dog or the master.

"I am," he says with some, vague undefined emotion that spurs him to get back to work and let Maggie spend as long petting Velcro as she chooses.
