And then we had a conversation about vampires.

Who: Ianto Jones and Jack Harkness
What: No, seriously, a conversation about vampires. Also, about Greek gods.
Where: In bed.
When: Immediately following this craziness.
Notes: Communication is key to a successful relationship.
Warnings: Possible bickering. In bed. Now with smut! :D

Ianto disconnects the call with Cassandra, and he can't help but think the ringing silence in the room is rather foreboding. He hasn't done anything wrong, he knows that, and yet he knows Jack isn't pleased about what he probably feels is a failure on Ianto's part to pass on important intel. It's not always easy to separate their working relationship from their personal relationship, especially while living in a situation that falls under their jurisdiction, but in a foreign world where Torchwood is a non-entity. To make matters worse, Jack's defenses are visibly up about the whole vampire thing -- and Ianto is going to have words with Cassandra about mentioning things that only serve to scare the shit out of Jack.

Now they're on the precipice of what is probably going to be a very uncomfortable discussion, and Ianto has already given up on getting any more sleep in the near future. He looks sideways at Jack, but doesn't dare speak first.

Luckily enough for Ianto, Jack has no problem being the first to speak about anything. Ianto'd been hiding information from him. He knew about Cassandra and Apollo being prophets, and real ones at that, and he hadn't shared. He'd had to hear it through Cassandra. And not just through her, but through her talking to Ianto, because she obviously wanted nothing to do with Jack, for no fault of his other than some weirdo in another world had apparently stolen his identity and going around slandering his name. And then there was the fact that the Ianto from that world had wanted to become immortal so that he could be with him forever, and...did his Ianto really want that? How the hell had the other world's him have let him do that to himself.

"What the hell was that?" Jack asked Ianto, cutting straight to the point.
