Who: Raylan Givens and Rachel Conway
What: Getting some answers! ...Well someday. This is just the first step.
Where: The Apache.
When: Newdi, late afternoon.
Notes: N/A
Warnings: Nothing at the moment.
It takes her a little while to reach the Apache. She doesn't live just a few blocks away anymore, not since she found a place of her own (that she can just manage to swing the rent on, if she's careful and gets enough shifts at the tea house) out in Raven's Gate. It's the location that matters to her. It's near the water, and that comforts her.
There are still signs in the street, as she approaches the tavern, of last week's fighting. Damage to buildings, piles of debris here and there as people work to clean up. She hopes this isn't a frequent occurrence but she has the feeling that hope will prove misplaced. That's one of the many answers she wants about this place.
Rachel doesn't see Raylan outside as she walks up to the entrance. She pauses a moment just to make sure she hasn't missed him, and then she heads for the door.

"Not at all. It's nice to finally meet you in person. Please, sit down."

"Thank you." He removes his hat and settles himself. "It's nice to be out beyond the inn, at least." It wasn't home, but it was a step in the right direction.

She pauses to wave, getting a server's attention. She casts an appraising eye over him once that's done. He definitely seems stronger than when they first talked, and that's good. "How are you feeling?"

She pauses as the server comes over, asking for a whiskey sour and waiting for Raylan to put in his order and for the girl to leave before she continues.
"So did they do anything special? To make you heal faster. Is medicine different here?"
no subject
"Seemed like normal medical stuff, a little old-fashioned. Doctor from our cohort left me some lotion that seemed to help, but I don't know enough to tell what it's doing."

She pauses for a moment, watching the other patrons, making sure no one seems to be trying to listen in. "He said he'd be willing to share any information he got on that front, once he finds work. I think that'd be totally helpful."

Raylan leans back, then adds quieter, "How many people you got workin' on this so far?"
