"There wasn't any time," she says, like she's rote-repeating something that was told to her. Sound logic that she wouldn't have arrived at by herself, because Sonja is supposed to come for her, that's how the world has rebuilt itself around her. Kelly had been right, and she knows it, but she knows she'd never have done it by herself. She'd have waited. She'd have been wrong. It's a sick feeling in the pit of her stomach and she wishes Kelly were here right now, because Kelly is just-- better at explaining things. Because Kelly should be here, too, there's no rhyme or reason to this, it's not fair--

After a moment, "I'm not bleeding any more. There wasn't any time. We couldn't let him do it." She presses her wrists together, huge-eyed and darker there than usual, like her illusion isn't quite holding together.
