The notion of someone's office disappearing in such a way as to be shrugged off is a little startling, even in Baedal and even with everything else that Ilde has more or less accepted in the city; she doesn't press, noting the manner in which it was referenced, but she makes a note of the name and to find out if Cornelius was in his office at the time or not.

(However unrelated it may actually be, that's interesting, and she can multitask.)
