It isn't at all long until Ivan arrives; he can move, when he has to, and this could go pear shaped very quickly. (Also, if Hasibe is Ilde's friend, he isn't willing to trust her self-preservation instincts until he knows her a bit better - possibly unfair, but better safe than sorry.)
