"They probably have lawyers here," Angela says with a shrug. "A world without lawyers is just as bad as a world without lawyers."

She's not sure what kind of doctor would be willing to fix up a particular head injury without cracking up at the cause of it, but this is why Angela is an artist and not a doctor. Accepting his hand, she shakes it gently but not reluctantly.
