To an outside viewer it might seem as if he is perfectly composed but Faramir can barely contain his impatience as the minutes pass.

So when he spots the arriving traveler he immediately moves away from the wall, only to stop after a few steps. Whatever he has learned from the CiD, it hasn't prepared him for the sudden storm of emotions that threatens to overwhelm him now. There is his brother, in the flesh, riding up towards him and in the light of that everything else becomes unimportant.
