Lucius is about to leave for the day, when he realizes he needs a few notes that he's left in his study. He expects it to take less than a minute, and he certainly doesn't expect anyone to be in the study already.

So he stops short, a bit dumbfounded. His older self seems to have that effect.

"...were you looking for something?" he asks, after a moment.
