Buffy still doesn't know a lot of people in Baedal. Part of that is her own fault, she isn't sure who to trust, but she wants friends. She wants people that she can count on. And she misses being social. So this is why she's going to the birthday party of a guy she doesn't know.

So this is Buffy, standing awkwardly on the second floor with a glass of champagne in her hand, and in costume. She isn't sure what drew her to it beyond the fact that it was poofy and girl, and it had been a while since she had done either. She's looking around, trying to see if there's anyone who might be interesting to talk to, but ... she's feeling too awkward to make the first approach. She's just looking. And sipping. And ... will figure it out from there.
