Kate appreciates the silent company and Remy's presence even if she doesn't actually feel isolated from the boys. Leaving them to their own motherly devices was her choice and she has a lot of catching up to do with Dawn and Claire anyway. Maybe she misses their constant trolling--well, mostly Tommy's constant trolling and Billy's sighing--but she's doing fine for herself, by herself. There's a lot of living and settling in to keep her busy for the next couple of weeks.
The dryer's loud whirring finally stops as Kate slips a hand to the wall, testing for dryness. It's not the Sahara back there, but it passes her no mold growth approval. Setting the device aside, she straightens up to sit on the floor properly, watching Remy poke at his CiD with mild curiosity.
