There is no second kick to follow the first. The average mugger would abandon the game at this point, but Baedal isn't an average city and it's certain the men have seen stranger things. They move forward to bring the fight to Adrian, ignoring Aimery and their injured fellow for the moment.

They never have the chance to get their hands on Adrian. His fighting style is one designed to keep his foes at a distance, half martial arts and half gymnastics, and every blow that lands is one that breaks bones or leaves deep painful bruises.
