It's not atrocious and it's, again, certainly not bizarre German techno, but the difference between the music they play here and anywhere on Earth. For one thing, there's the obvious non-Earth influence, but there's also definitely a strong 80's tinge to it, probably owing to the fact that technology's a bit harder to come by here and the tools used to create are more limited.
