"I don't mind," he answered honestly. If he'd wanted to make her be quiet, he could have kissed her half an hour ago. She was clearly willing and receptive, but he enjoyed listening to her--especially when she wasn't chastising him or screaming.

"And you may be right," he admitted. "I don't know what it is. The situation has changed so much, I'm not sure what the trigger was."
