Who: Lex + whoever wants to have their character help with cleanup, you don't have to have had your character respond to the post to have them drop by, we can handwave that contact. From the outside the house once again looked like it had before the abrupt arrival of the creatures. The windows had been replaced earlier and what needed to be cleared away from the yard had been done so in the morning in order to work inside during the warmer part of the day. It was a good stopping point for everyone involved.
What: taking a break after a morning's work, treat it like a party post for cr building, yay! threadjacks encouraged
Where:The House of EgoThe Luthor-Veidt residence in Brock Marsh
When: noonish Misdi
Notes: Please no trolling, Lex wouldn't have given his home address to people who weren't genuinely interested in helping.
Warnings: With all the clutter and debris, this thread might get a little dirty!
In the kitchen Lex has set up a table with assorted sandwiches, fruit, plenty of water, and a plate filled with cookies. He takes one and begins to eat, feeling vaguely like the child who used to sneak in sweets before dinner.

Having peeked out a window to make sure they did get to all of the debris outside, he finally feels comfortable (eligible, maybe) enough to select a sandwich and start taking slow, measured bites out of it. It's easy to tell he's deliberately pacing himself, trying to make it last so he won't have to snag another too soon. Considering how much food's been provided, you'd think he needn't be so polite, but Allen doesn't seem to agree.

"You can help yourself to more if you want. I tend to over prepare."

"Thank you Mister Luthor, but I reckon I'd better pace myself. I've got―" A hitch, the mildly embarrassed sort that implies whatever he's about to say next will be an extreme understatement. "―quite an appetite."
That smile fills out into something warmer when he turns to Jones and adds, with good humour, "Though I suspect you'll have me beat, Miss...?"
He hasn't caught her name yet!

At the exchange between the other two Lex excuses himself for a moment to grab a sandwich and allow them to chat.

Partially, anyway. If Allen really unleashes his frankly inhuman appetite on the spread, there will be nothing left for anyone else.
