Jack raised his head to look at Ianto, sadly, as he listened to Ianto talking to him about the look that he sometimes got. He couldn't deny it. Especially now, after Owen and Tosh had died, he was afraid, so afraid that Ianto would be next. Especially because Ianto was all he had over here. He couldn't even bear to think of losing him in this place, let alone at all. He shifted his hand in Ianto's hold to grasp back.

"I hope you don't," he said. "I wouldn't wish this on anyone. I'd rather we find a way to change me back than have you ever joining me forever. I... I don't want to lose you, but. Not like that, Ianto. Promise me you won't become a zombie or a vampire or...anything like that."
