Mina frowned slightly, but nodded. This was getting utterly ridiculous. No Kindred? No Kindred? That was just beyond anything Mina had ever experienced. Beyond. There had to be structure. "I see," she said quietly, taking off her hat to run a hand through her hair. "You must forgive my questions. I'm still adjusting to this place. And, as you might have guessed, I am...European."
She attempted a half-hearted smile. Really, what Mina was feeling, deep down, was what she could only term terror. This wasn't right. This wasn't proper. And she had no bloody idea what she was going to do about any of it.
