Obviously she's not the chosen one. That much should be perfectly plain to anyone, and Odessa doesn't at all think she's cruel for thinking so. A year or so ago, the two women may have become friends, but brewing civil war and opposing factions have a way of driving a wedge between people and shattering possibilities.
