Hermione gives her a smile and hitches her bag higher up on her shoulder. "Hello! I won't, honestly," she replies. "The point is for you not to get hit, right? And to know what you're up against."
She realises, of course, that most people don't worry about what they're up against and has to wonder what Steph's motives are- but then again, Hermione will never accuse anyone of being over-prepared.
"We actually- when I was at at school, we had a class devoted to this sort of thing. 'Defence Against the Dark Arts'." She says it chattily, though she remembers how- well, useless parts of that class had been when it came to the real world. "Funny, really. Anyway, I'm sure I can give you a hand without, um, causing bodily harm."
