Martha Snape-Jones was very good at being invisible when she needed to be, and this was one of the nights when she was using that to her advantage. She took careful and silent steps to the place where Jim had told her to go, warily keeping an eye out for both the militia and anyone else who might decide to take issue with what Jim had done.
Coming into the area, Martha slipped off the backpack that she'd been wearing. Before she'd left the cottage, it'd been filled with medical supplies and the tricorder that she'd been given for Catenrat. It seemed like that it was a good thing to have on her at the moment, given the fact that they didn't know what the kids had been given. However, seeing them like this lead Martha to do something really very un-Martha-like: "Bastards." The word was muttered as she looked around. People who hurt kids were just out of bounds and wrong in her mind.
