Clarice is probably looking for trouble, at least a little, out at night this late on her own. She's had a problem with being a bit cocky in the past, and Baedal hasn't changed it.

She's also had a problem with the strong victimizing the weak. She tries to hold herself in check; this situation isn't about her, or her problems. Still.
