That Erik doesn't argue earns him a few--very tentative--points in his favor, though the expression on Pietro's face looks more like he's wondering if the civility is some kind of elaborate trap. He's never known his father to accept the boundaries he sets out; he's known his father to break into his home to see his grandchild and be somehow surprised when Pietro fails to appreciate his familial dedication. (Does this mean he doesn't care at all? And what does that matter, if there's nothing between them?)
