She's not sure the analogy quite works, because Steph is still just a regular human while Ilde is apparently a mermaid who seems to hve at least some control over water, but she doesn't say that, "I guess you never made it?"

She smiles for the nudge of Ilde's tail, even thought it's a little weird, "Well, I'm good at adapting. So I've got that on my side."
