No matter what he did, it's not your fault if you're hurting from it, and you don't owe it to anyone to try to get over it." She lightly squeezes Megan's arm, trying to give a sense of comfort.

"I know it's not easy, but you're a great person, Megan, and I don't wanna see you get hurt more by bottling it all up." She lets go and steps back, part of her is expecting that to make Megan shut down more, or maybe throw her out. So she's sort of inticipating the worst.
