"That's me, I was gonna come see you at the Vault," She won't bring up the texts she sent, thinking it might make Megan feel guilt about having not replied. Steph doesn't say anything else for a moment, then carefully, "Did something happen, Megan?"
Because she looks kind of wrecked, but not sick. Steph remembers her mom looking like that sometimes, and it makes her ever more concerned; she wouldn't be surprised if Megan was taking drugs, but there's a difference between doing them recreationally and being an addict.
