Shrieky's eyes flick to Jae for a moment, and he very briefly attempts to put up the image of a man who is a little irritated by this question. It doesn't work though, the encounter up to this point has been too good for him to be able to wantonly turn on his bad temper now.

"Of course. Did you think I was merely a delusional human being?"

He actually manages a faint smile at the end of that question.
