Though he isn't so wide-eyed and confused about Shada's temples anymore, Jae still isn't wholly comfortable there; he's figured out the timing of the regular proceedings enough to know now's about the time of night when the ritual for blood offerings begin, and he can't stomach it. It's clean, painless, voluntary, and people seem happy about it, but even thinking about it makes him feel queasy.
He passes Martha and smiles, nodding in hello, but he's still heading right out the temple doors with polite (but determined) purpose. He'd rather be gone before it even starts - he feels like it'd be rude to be looming in there for any part of it, accidentally contributing negative energy to their faith. Or something.
