If there's one thing which Shrieky can be relied upon for, it's to not let sleeping anythings lie. As such when he materializes at Ilde's side, like a giant, bored octopus, patting her on the fact to wake her up is literally the first thing he does.

"Hey. You fell asleep."

He points out, a little lamely, before stretching out beside her on the rock.

"Wolfgang isn't back yet."

But he will be, Shrieky is quietly and defiantly confident.
